Hi everyone,
Today I will explain a few ways on how for you to transfer website safely. Most of you have probably heard of Escrow.com and how it is safe. Truth is that will its secure there are still some loopholes (eg: not knowing if the site is transferred yet etc) and Escrow.com takes some time to be completed.
Besides that certain countries can’t accept money transfer via Escrow.com. Another way is by using wired transfer or Money Sending service like www.westernunion.com or moneygram.
The one I would most probably recommend besides Escrow.com is Escrow Moniker and Moneybooker but again most of you are probably using Paypal.com more.
So here are the 3 ways that people normally use which I call the 3 standard website transfer condition (SWTC).
- You pay via Paypal full and wait for the seller to transfer the site to you. This was is only recommend to use if you know the seller really well or he is too established to lie. Example he own a multimillionaire site like lets say Flippa.com. So if the real Mat Mickiewicz were to deal with you, then you can go ahead with this SWTC.
- You pay half first and wait for the domain + website to be transferred / just the domain first, then pay another half to complete the deal / the website is transferred. Now this is pretty much most people will use. However both sides will probably suffer a huge loss if either the buyer or seller is a fraud.
- Which comes to the last unique procedure which I invented and used it myself. I am not sure if any of you used it before but I prefer this way. You can call it as the FS SWTC (FS= Flippa Secret) method
Lol.. Well this method uses the format of 20% + 60% + 20%. Meaning lets say you bought a site for $1000. Then you pay first $200, receive the domain transfer, pay another $600 for the website and then only pay the rest $200 after 2,3 days to make sure that the site is proven to be legit. I know that most of you would say “pff, obviously the buyer should have checked before buying” though you may never know, some people can’t even see the difference between a photo-shopped screenshot and an original screenshot. You also don’t want the seller to just leave you stranded incase if you have any questions on how to run the site etc.
So thats basically the procedure to transfer a website safely and the smart way. it can be applied not only for Flippa auctions but also for any online purchase. Make sure to mention Flippa Secret when you’ve used this method.
Until the next post,
Cheerio

Try Transpact.com.
They are secure UK Government registered escrow service, offer a worldwide service, and unlike many escrow services they allow you to specify your own conditions to be satisfied before payment is made.
By being able to tailor specific escrow conditions to each transaction, both the buyer and seller can for the first time be fully safe in a domain transaction.
Highly recommended
[disclosure - I work for Transpact.com]
Looks like a reasonable alternative.
Good post ! Why i did not see your post ealier? I had have been scamed by a trick seller on flippa.
Is it safe buying a website via escrow? you know many site do not bring such a huge revenue the seller had mentioned.
